Nationwide Sage Listens RV Relay Heads to Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the World

IRVINE, Calif. (Aug. 16, 2013) – Sage, a leading provider of business management software and services for small to midsized businesses worldwide, is continuing its 16-city, 50-day Sage Listens RV Relay with a stop in Las Vegas tomorrow and Sunday.

Tomorrow, Sage executives will meet with Jetstream Administration Inc., a Toronto, Ontario (Canada)-based provider of accounting and administration services to small businesses and a Sage Accountants Network member, and with the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce. On Sunday, Sage executives will meet with Van Cott Information Services, Inc., a supplier of books, music, CDs and other items for woodwinds and brass instruments, plus several other Sage customers on an impromptu basis.

Several special events will also take place during the two-day stop. A Sage Vision and Strategy Workshop for accounting professionals will be held at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday afternoon. Taught by highly regarded educators from the Business Learning Institute and Sage VP of Partner Programs and Channel Sales Jennifer Warawa, the complimentary hands-on, four-hour interactive session guides accounting professionals through the process of creating an actionable vision and strategy that facilitates a closer relationship with clients, based on past, present and future accounting profession trends.

On Saturday evening, Sage, IC Opportunities and MACPA will host a Parking Lot Party, the first of a nationwide series of parties focused on real, meaningful conversations, outside The Smith Center.

“As one of the top tourist destinations in the world, Las Vegas provides a great deal of opportunity for small businesses to gain significant exposure,” said Brad Smith, executive vice president of customer experience, Sage North America. “With city officials pushing to diversify the economy, small businesses play a key role as the backbone to a diversified economy.”

Self-employment in Nevada has experienced growth in the last decade, with more than 39,000 small businesses in the region. The Las Vegas economy has a bright future ahead as the region is experiencing tremendous backing from private and public partnerships while undergoing revitalization in key tourist destinations that is attracting small businesses, corporations and investors.

The Sage Listens RV Relay is a literal and figurative vehicle for Sage executives to personally visit customers across the U.S., to build stronger relationships with those customers, to help them maximize their software investments, and to encourage a commitment to shopping at and supporting local businesses in communities nationwide. With this tour, Sage is also kicking off a nationwide “Shop Local” campaign, through which it is encouraging consumers and businesses to support businesses locally based in their communities.

The Sage Listens RV Relay will make its next stop in Reno, Nev., on August 20 and 21. On August 20, Sage will host another Parking Lot Party with the Young Professionals Network, an organization focused on fostering an informed and involved young professional community in order to retain and attract young and diverse talent.
